. A party of local cyclists are spending the, Easter holidays on -n cycling tout to Pnlmerston North, thence to Wellington, and then back over the Rimutakas. They arc all riding ordinary push bicycles, nid on the return an attempt will be made to lower tho record for the rido over (Lo Kimutaka Hill to Featherston. Mr. Piatt, a water-diviner, of Napiei, paid a visit to Mr. E. Eagle, jun.'s farm at Belvedere during the past week. Ho located water in several places, but only one spring of any great capacity.' The fact that business places arc closed from Thursday evening Tuesday has enabled many to spend Easter out of town.
