MADAME IfIRKBY LUNN. Tlio distinguished contralto, Madamo Kirkby Limn, will give tho third concort of her Wellington season to-night at tho Town Hall, when nn entirely now . programme will bo presented. Mudamo Kirkby Lunn will sing "Clio faro" (Orfeo) Gluck "Im Herbst" (Franz); "Vcrgiblisches Standchon (Brahms); "Poppies for Forgetting" (Lolir); "Morning—and You" (Aylward); "0 Lovely Night" (Landon Ronald); "Sapphischo Ode" (Brahms); and "Three Fishers" (ITmllali). Mr. Andrew' Shanks will sing "Toreador Sony" from "Carmen" "Hnmt." (Walford Davies), "Border Ballad" (Cowen). Mr. William Murdoch will play "Bnllado in A Flat" (Chopin), "Hark! Hark! tho Lark" (Schu-bert-Liszt), a new Preludo in G Minor by RnchmeninblF, and by special request Mr. Murdoch will play "La Cathedralo Engloutie" (Debussy). M. Andre do Ribaupierro will play "Romance" (Watrner), "Caprice" (Paganini-Gorski), and "Zigounenveisen" (Sarasate). The box plan will be at the Dresden until 12.30, after at Christeson's, Manners Street. THEATRE ROYAL. To-night will be tho last opportunity of witnessing this week's programme of variety at the Theatre Royal. Tho Crimson Ramblens, of course, take up half of the .programme, and make their turn so jolly that tfrose turns in the second half havo need to be "extra special" if they are not to fall short of what has gone before. Black and Bronte are tlie kernel of the second half, arud afford genuine fun. The programme will be changed again on Monday night.
"ON OUR SELECTION." The management promise "a boom in laughter" at the Opera Houso on Saturday next, December 14, when Bert. Bailey's Company brings along old "Dad lludd," "Mum," "Dave," "Sarah," "Uncle," "Joe," and "Maloney," to say nothing of the kangaroo and the Test of tho live stock of On Our Selection." Concerning the humour, the management is prepared to give a prize to anyone in the audience who can keep count of tho laughs he had during the performance. Bert. Bailey, the actor-manager, is largely responsible for the. success that has been attained by the production of "On Our Selection," and during the present tour he lias determined to produce it with all the detail, and with the full strength of the company, which was responsible for the Auckland success. The combination includes: Bert. Bailey, Edmund Duggan, Miss Mary Marlow (an English actress of very fine repute), and Mr. Guy Hastings, from the London Theatre. The company have just finished a record of fourteen nights at His Majesty s, Auckland. Tho box plan will open on Tuesday at the Dresden.
WELLINGTON LIEDERTAFEL.
The .-final concert of tho Wellington Liedertafel for the present season will be given in the Concert Chamber of the Town Hall next Wednesday evening, when a programme of high standard will be presented. Amongst other items there will be Mendelssohn's double chorus from the "Oedipus at Colonoß, and, by special request, Elgar's charming "Songs from the Greek Anthology,' and Stanford's vigorous "Songs of the Fleet will bo repeated. Miss Dora R-ead, contralto, who is already favourably known to Wellington audiences, will be the assisting vocalist.
