WHITE CLOVER SEED.
INDICATION OF HIGH PRICES. •There is said to be every indication that tlie : price of white clover seed will, be extremely high during the coming sowing season. The latest issue of the Agricultural Department's Journal advises farmers who will be usiiig tho seed to make their, purchases as early as possible, riot ority for tlie sake of economy, but iir order, to secure the better class of seed on the market. It is stated that if the season proves suitablo for sowing, such a demand for the seed will be created that the price must advance considerably, while the standard of the seed finally available will be .undesirable, Tf samples /aro obtained now there will be ample.timo' to have them tested,, as to. their purity aud their germination capacity.
