WAIRARAPA PRESBYTERY.
The-Wairarapa Presbytery met in Knox Church, Masterton, yesterday. Sederunt, Revs.-G. K. Stowell (Moderator), A. T. Thompson, J. S. Young, L. Thompson, B. C. Tennent, and T. C. Mill,. ministers; Messrs. M. M'Grogor, Bruce,! and I'alla, elders; and -Messrs. Kalpli and Rattray, home missionaries. The report on the visitation of Wairarapa. South Congregation .was presented by Mr. Teunent. It showed that the , charge was in a-healthy condition. It was stated that' the income for the last three years had increased at tho rate of .£3O per annum. Orphanage work and missions had been .helped this ■ year by .£6B. Tho .finding-of the Presbytery. is to be read to the congregations at Feathcrston and Grey town on October 20. ' Annual reports on Bible classes and Sabbath schools were givenin by tho Rev. A. T.. Thompson. „' On the motion of the Rev. G. K. Stowell, it was unanimously resolved to nominate the liev. W. Macara, of Kaikoura, for appointed delegates to the General Assembly next year. ' The Revs. A.'T.Thompson, G. K. Stowell, and E. C? • Tennent, ministers, and elders representing: tho congregations of, Carjierton, Lansdowne; and Pahintua were appointed . delegates to'the-eGneral Assembly. A commission, consisting of the K«vs. Tennent, Young, and A. T. Thompson, was appointed to visit Eketahuna.
