They arrived by the Orama six weeks afro, 'and intend .staying unlil October or November, visiting Bniisels, Paris, Ireland, Scotland, etc., in the meantime. Mr. IT. .f. Wernham, of Hamilton, is in Scotland for a few weeks, visitinc GlasL'ow, and-Dundee. Then ho Koes »to Ireland, from (hero returns to London, and sslsout for an extended tour pf tue Continent-, returning to Xw Zealand, probably via Canadu. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph , -Ambnry, of Auckland, ar« in England, after a thirty years.' I absence, and came via Los Angeles* Xew York, the Rockies, Vancouver, anil NorthWestern Canada. They visit Scotland and the Continent bsfors sailing for a trip to Bombay next January. Mr. nnd Mrs. John Graham nnd family, or Nelson, have returned from an extended tour of Ireland, and leave almost immediately for another trip through France nnd Switzerland. After that thev will reside in Scotland till they depart for New Zealand al; Hieend of'the year. Miss Jenny .Mather, of Christchurch, who arrived on May 21, came to England to bo married to Mr.. Walter Moore, late of Christchurch, nud now of Persiui, out of Paris. Since her arrival, Miss Mather has been staying; with relatives in Uppingham and at Admiralty House at Portsmouth.. . • Mr. and Mrs. George Hamill, of Wellington, and their two sons,, who .have, beten travelling through Ireland and Scotland for the last two months, have returned to London. After a fortnight here they will travel on tho Continent for about a month. They will leave for New Zealand in. November. ■••■:■' ■ jlr. D. Zinian, of Reefton, who is on a. ; Business trip, and Mrs. D. Ziman, arrived by the Coriuthic. They have, taken n. furnished house at Richmond Hill until tho middle of September, and will then sattle. their two children at school, probably returning to London for the'autumn and winter months. • • Miss SI. J. Mander, of Anckland, who arrived on June 28, means to stay until tho middle of September. She is at present in London, but goes to Lancashire in August to stay with relatives. After that sho will be at Columbia t'niversity, New York, for some years. Mr. Ernest J. Brammall, of Blenheini, and late of Hamilton, camo to England Komo little time ago, as the death of his father necessitated his presence here. He is on six months' lenvo from lilenheiih. He proposes to visit. Paris, motoring thence to H.erlin, where he will stay with his uncle for a week. Afterwards ho hopes to visit Lucerne and Hamburg, with his friend, Jlr. M'Kce, of Nelson. This week Mr. Bnunmall goes.to Manchester, and thence, on to Carlisle. Mr. Hugo Friedhuider, merchant, of Ashbiirton. nnd chairman of tho Lyttelton Harbour Board, who arrived in June, will probably stay about twelve months. Mr. Friedlander, who is accompanied by his wife, his sons. Dr. A. J. Friedlander, Mr. E. W. Friedlander, and Miss ■ Olga i'liedlnndcT, is starting shortly on a motor tour through England, Scotland, Wales, nnd tho'Continent. They will return to London about the end of October. Mr. and Mrs. ll.'von Haast. of Wellington, returned to London last week, nfl;er three months on the Continent. They visited Sicily and many places of interest in Italy, were present at the great musical festival in Vienna, visited Bndapesth, and saw something of Prague, Dresden,', and other ceutres in Austria and Germany. Whilst in Vienna they were the guests of Lady von Haast. They arc now in London,, and will later visit Mr. G«orgo von.. Haast at his country home in Wiltshire, before going on tour in Scotland.
