(From Oirr Precial Correspondent.) An enjoyable church, "social" was held at the Alicotown Congregational Chapel last evening. Addroses- were Riyen by the Rev. A. E. Bridfier, Key. .M Donald Asplan, and Mr. Young. Social items were contributed by members and fnsnds of. the Hutt Methodist Church, arranged b,v Mr. R. Y. Shearer. The ladies provided a supper. The Petone Tramway Syndicate is now ■preparing plans for the erection of the proposed tramshed. Thcso details it will submit when applying for the Order-iu-Council. Three sites for the tramshed are under offer, but as yet it has not been definitely decided which one will be secured. The new station will be able to hold six care, and will be capable of extension." Tho tramshed will tinvo a depth cf IGOft. and a frontage of 28ft. Gin.
