LIVE STOCK SALES.
Messrs. Dalgety and Co.. Ltd.. report having hold their tieual weekly stock sale at waipukurau yesterday, when they offered a fair yarding of sheep to a large attendance of the public. All fat stock was keenly competed for. Tiicy Quote as follows:— Fat wethers, 18s. to £1 25.; fat ewesi up to 10s.; sound-mouth ewes, in lamb, 13s. 3d.; woolly lambs, IDs. 2d. Messrs. Dalgety and Co.. Ltd., report on their Otaki stock sale, held yesterday, as follows:—We had an exceptionally -heavy yarding of both sheep and e-attle for this time of the year, and the quality was very food. All lots met with keen, competition, and we quitted every line of sheep under the hammer. We also had a. good clearance ofocattlc at the following prices: —Sheep: Breeding ewes, 12s. 4d., 12s. 6d., to 16s. ii.; good ewes. 10s. 10il. to 12s. 6d.; fat ewes, 13s. Bel/to 14a.; good wethers, 15s. to 15a. 7d.; lambs, small. &=. 7d. to 83. lCd. Cattle: Fat cows, £6 to £7; fat heifers, to £5 175.; light fat bullocks, to £8; heifers, in calf, £4 10s. to £5 10s. Cows: Sprincinc calvers, £3 155.. £4, £5, £5 2s. 6d.; sood empty cows, £3 18«. to £4 55.: empty heifers, £3.175. 6d. to £1. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., .Ltd. (Palmer'ton branch), report:—At Hangiotu on Monday a good entry came forward and a fair sale resulted iat the following prices:—Fat ewes, 13s. 9(1.; weather steers, 305.; yearling heifers, £2 25.; aged store cowe, 355.; forward cows, £3 7s. 6d. to £3 14s. 6d.; fat cows, £5 ss. to £5 175.; cows in calf, £5 to £7 7s. 6d.; heifers in calf, £5 11s.; pony, £6 10s.
