DILUTING BEER.
TOM MANN'S PREVIOUS CONVICTION. By Telegraph—Press Association-Copyright. London, May 13. In tho House of Commojis, replying lo a question by tho Marquis of Tullibardine, .Unionist member of West Perthshire, Mr. Reginald M'Kcnna, Homo Secretary, stated that Tom Mann had been convicted years ago of diluting , beet' in a publichouse of which he was tho tenant. Asked whether he would relenso Mr. Mann, Mr. M'Kenna said ho was considering the shorthand notes of the case and was unable at present to reply.
Mr. George Lansbury, Labour member for Tower Hamlets, was refused leavo to move tho adjournment of tho House in connection with the Mann case, only thirty members supporting him.
