THE RAILWAY AGITATION.
SPEEAD3 TO KHANDALLAH. About 160 persons attended a meeting held at Kkandallah last evening for the purpose of considering tho question of aDproaching the Minister for Railways on tile subject of an improved , suburban train service. Tho Mayor of Onslow'(Mr. V. Hohlswnrth) presided, and Mr. W. H. ']). Bell (member for tho Suburbs) ■ was also present. After n lengthy discussion, it was resolved, on tho motion of Mr., J. W. Grant, seconded by Mr. H. Kirk-' caldie, that six representatives respectively of Ngaio, Khamlallah, Johnsonville, and Poriraa should bo appointed a deputation of twenty-four to urgo upon the Minister for Railways (tho Hon. A. M. Myers):(1) That all suburban trains run to and from Lamblon Station ■, (2i that these trains be speeded up; and.(3) that certain extra trains bo asked for. Tho representatives _ are to _ assemble and come to a unanimous decision with regard to tho extra trains to bo applied for. Those- representing Ngaio are: Messrs. Darrnll, Ksson, Finn, Hampton, I.vnneborg, and RadclifFe; and Khamlallah is represented by Messrs. Bates, Ferguson, Harkncss, Sl'Arthur, J. G.-Smith, and tho Mayor (Mr. Holdsworth). Tho representatives of Porirua and Johnsonviflo have yet to bo appointed.
