OPERA HOUSE. There was another, largo and appreciative audience .at the Opera House Inst evening to witness the drama, "A Girl's Temptation," which was presented for tho last time. This evening the company will produce a dramatisation of Bret Harto's well-known story, "Tho Luck of Roaring. Camp." This, drama was first produced in Australia at tho Palace Theatre, Sydney, where it was a success, and since its initial production has been played in every centre of Australia. Tho box plan is now on view at the Dresden. THEATRE ROYAL. To-night will be the last opportunity of witnessing some of the present.vaudeville "turns" at Fullers' Theatre Roy-itl. On Monday night next there will be a complete change of programme, which will include the first appearance of Miss Carrie Moore

FULLERS' PICTURES. Fullers' Pictures arc being shown to .very enthusiastic audiences at the Skating Rink, in Vivian Street. There will bo. n matinee this afternoon, and tho programme will bo repeated this evening. A complete change of programme is announced for Monday night. THE NEW THEATRE. •Of the pictures shown at the New Theatre tho kinemntograph reproduction of the action in Ibsen's wonderful play, "A Doll's. House," is .by far tho bes't. »'.Redman ? .T Penalty" is a Bison picture story, tolling of the Bavago vengeance tho Indian wreaks on thoso who wrong him. It is not a pleasant story, but it has been acted for the picture-man in a good setting, and it is after all a really fine •film. Another story which compels interest is "A Doctor's Dilemma." The doctor had a fickle wife, and, immediately after he discovered the fact he was cnllmrdnt to attend professionally on his rival in his. wife's affections.. He saved the lifo of tlio third party, and the latter agreed to fade out of the picture. Thereafter reconciliation was easy. The sea iits most vexed.;as well as its most.pkcid moods arc shown in the film "Ocean, Thou Mighty Monster." Other items in a wellbalanced varied programme were: "How Bella Was Won, "Cecilia, tho Martyr," and."A Pair,of Shoes." KING'S THEATRE. Tho programme presented at. the' King's Theatre is very attractive; the films are sufficiently vari**'to please everyone. "The Tenderfoot Foreman," "The Swimming Party," and "Love in Many Moods" are pictures of a high order of merit. "A Victim of tho Mormons" provides plenty of "thrills." ■■<'■' ■' SHORTTS'PICTURES. • Crowds filled .Shortts' Theatre last night and most of the day to 1 witness'the really excellent bill now being presented thero. "Testing His Courage" is a typically Western American drama with some adventure and humour in it,' exceedingly well acted and well produced. "In the Tyrol" is a sc?mc film of rare quality, as the title would suggest. All the pictures are remarkably clear in projection. To-day and to-night patrons of the theatre will have tho last opportunity of witnessing the current programme. MISS CARRIE MOORE. Miss Carrie Moore's season begins at the Theatre Royal next week. Her reputation as a musical comedy actress is well-known • both in Australia and England. Since her departure to vaudeville, many prominent artists havo followed suit, but nol so manv havo merited tho success which this actress has achieved. During Mr. Hen Fuller's last trip to England, he heard Miss. Moore in several of the London music-hails, and as a result he engaged her for liii Australian and New Zealand, vaudovillo circuit. The box plan is now open at the Dresden. This afternoon (Saturdav) tho plan may be viewed at the Theatre Royal for tho opening night's performance. PIANOFORTE RECITAL. Mr. Baxter Buckley will givo a second recital in the Concert Chamber at the Town Hall, on Wednesday next.' A big and varied programme is to be submitted, including the Grieg pianoforte concerto, a Beethoven sonata, and items from Schumann. Chopin, Moszkowski, and Suiding. Mr. Collins will sing a new setting of "Last Night," by Mr. Buckley, ami Mr. Johnstone will appear in new 'cello solos. Mrs. Johnstone will assist in the concerto, playing the orchestral parts on a second piano. The box plan is at tho Dresden. Popular prices.
