. 1 ROBERTS AND GRAY. By TalezraDh—Prcse Association—CoDsrlcht Uondon, April 23. The Lord Chief Justice, Lord Alverstone, has given judgment in the enso John Roberts, the well-known hilliardist, v. George Gray, the Australian player, in which Roberts claimed .£OOOO for breach of an agreement. Plaintiff, in February last, was awarded ,£ISOO, but the Judge postponed arguments on the legal points as to whether tho contract was beneficial to Gray, and if so, whether that 'benefit was injured by Roberta's inability to play with other thnu bonzoliuo balls for the first two months.

His Lordship now gave judgment in favour of Roberts on all points.
