SUNDAY SCHOOL ANNIVERSARY. Tho ninth annivorsary of the. Methodist Central Mission Sunday School was cole-/ brated yesterday by special thanksgiving; services. As it was considered that the Acw Theatre would scarcely be large enough to hold tho congregations, the services woro held in tho Town Hall Concert Chamber, which was \tell filled at the evening service. The stago hod bean decorated with palms for the occasion. At tho morning service, tho Rev. C. H. Olds delivered a Buitablo address to the children, taking his text from Prov.. IV, 23. bpocjal anniversary hymns were sunjf by tho scholars and their friends, led by. Mr. \Y. E. Howe, while a duet was contributed by Miss Alice Anderson and Mies Houldcr. Tho pianists woro Miss L. Burd and Mrs.' W. E. Howe, who were assisted by other instrumentalists. ■ . In tho afternoon, Miss Webster, of the. China Inland Mission, interested . the scholars with stories from her experiences as a missionary in China. In addition to the ordinary hymns, a fiolo ("Tho Living Day") was contributed by Miss V. Scrimgeour! The I?ov. E. 0. Blamires conducted the, evening service, which consisted of prayers, hymns, and a sermon. A collection was taken up in aid of tbo Sunday School Fund. Tho Rev. E. 0. Blamires preached on tho subject of repentance and perseverance, taking for his text 1. Kings XVTII, 34. The thanksgiving services will be continued r.t the Mission Hall on Wednesday next, when (he Sunday School Committee will present tho annual report.
