The conference to-day confirmed arrangements for the campaign by the Rev. Ballance Cook and Mrs. Cook, and proposals for missions l>y two suitable missioners from Australia supplemented by a scheme for holding missions in every circuit and home mission station. A detailed plan of the campaign was submitted in committee. In a supplementary report the committee recommended the engagement of (ho Rev. and Mrs. Yallanco Cook for a series of missions extending over six months, from May to October, 1813, comprising four missions of fourteen days each in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, and 'Duncdin, and .nine missions of ten days each, followed by two days' rest, in New Plymouth, AYanganui, r'almerston North, Napier, Nelson, Blenheim, Timnru, Oainaru, and lnvarcargill. As this plan provided for only l>7 circuits, including adjacent city circuits, efforts should be made to secure the services of two suitable missioners from Australia for three months Mich, providing for thirteen missions of fourteen days each (including two days for rest and' travel), to be held simultaneous, ly in the North and South Islands, at— (}) Thames, Hamilton, Wliangarei, Hawera, Fcilding, Masterton, and Gisborne; and (2) Rangiora, Kaiapoi, Lyttelton, Ashburton, Waimato, and Gore. Sixty-thrw circuits were untouched by the scheme, and the committee recommended that in «ach of these districts a committee, with the Central Committee, prepare a scheme for the holding of missions in every circuit and home mission station, including those of the Primitive Methodist Church, in the event of the union, and that if the union takes place, three Primitive Methodists should be added to the Central and District Committees. The scheme was approved by the conference.
