GORDON AND GOTCH 'S PICNIC
Tho fifth annual picnic of the Wellington employees of Messrs. Gordon and Gotch Proprietary, Ltd., was held ou Saturday at the Ilutt Park racecourse. There was a full muster of employees and friends, and, as tho weather was everything that could bo desired, an enjoyable day was spent. The following are the results of the sports:— Gordon and Gotch Handicap (Mr. W. E. Jackson's silver ctip'l, V. J. Daley 1C, .1. Lenihan, 2; (Mi\ Pratt's trophv) A. E. Ballard, 3. Single Ladies' Handicap (Mr. Pratt's trophy).—Miss E. Dalton, 1; Miss Christie. 2. Married Ladies' Race.—Mrs. Fnrnall 1Mrs. Cavell, 2. ' Married Men's Race (Mr. T. L. Mills's trophy), A. E. Ballard, 1; (Messrs. R. and E. Tingey's trophy), F. J. Dottridge, Thread-the-Needlo Race.—A. 51. Farnall and Mrs. Ballard, 1; F. J. Daley and Miss Temperton, 2. Eg? and Spoon Race (Dresden Co's trophy).—Mrs. Jackson, 1; Miss Dalton, 2. Consolation Race, Ladies (Messrs. Cadbury's trophy).—Miss Drury, 1; Miss Porter, 2. Youths' Race (100 Yards).— J. Davies, 1; A. Jensen, 2. Consolation Race, Men (Messrs. Collins Bros.' trophy).—X. Stevens, 1; H. E. I'ither, 2.
