An Australian Wedding, On January 15, at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Waggg, New South Wales, the marriage took place of Miss Esther Mary Kichards, eldest daughter of Mr. Edward Kichards, of Ballarat, Victoria, and Mr. Charles John Todd, second sou of Jlr. W. W. Todd, Northland. Tho ceremony was performed by tho Rev. Alexander Simnis, B.A. Mr. Percy Holton, of Wellington, New Zealand, was the best man and Miss Lylah M. English, of Muswellbrook, was tho bridesmaid. The bridegroom is a member of the literary staff of the Wagpt "Express." Mrs. N. Fowlor and her little daughter are staying with Mrs. Cox at Muritai, Mrs. Cameron (Moroa) is at Muritai, and is staying at Mrs. Cox's. Mrs. H. Gore and her children have returned from their visit to Alfredton. Miss Maud Reynolds left Wellington yesterday on a visit to Wairoa. Mrs. W. Hislop and Mrs. J. H. Kemp Wave for England by the Tainui on February 22. Mr. and Mrs. E. Rayney Jackson and Mr. and Mrs. A. Alexander, of Wangaliui, leave for England by the lonic on March 21. Mr. and Mrs. A. Elworthy and Miss Julius (aister of Mrs. Elworthy), of Tiluaru, have booked to leave for London on March 21 by. the. White Star liner lonic. Luke returned to Wellington on Sunday from a visit to ChristchurcU. Mrs. Field and her children have returned from Waikanae. Mr. and Mrs. C. O'Connor have taken. Mr. Greig's house in Grant Road. Tho many friends of Mrs. Lorimer Covbett, formerly of Auckland, whoso death at Westminster was cabled on December 21, will be sorry to learn that she hud to undergo an operation, which proved fatal. Mrs. Corbett (says the "New Zealand Herald") was well-known socially, as a member of the Society for the Protection of Women and Children, and took great interest in art, being a member and nlso exhibitor at the art society's exhibitions. She also published a- book on New Zealand's ferns.
