4 . RECORD TELEGRAPH BUSINESS. A record was established in telegraph business at the Wellington office for the four days which concluded on Saturdtiy last. Thanks to the wires working well in aJI directions, all stations reported "clear" at 6 a.m. ou Sunday, an earlier hour than is usual. The figures for tho four days were as follow;— Forwarded. Received. Wednesday 3,616 3,420 Thursday 3,627 3,370 Friday 4,935 4,241 Saturday 7,944 6,885 Totals 20,122 17,822
