ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
ACCIDENT ENDS'FATALLY. William Yvrixon, a stevedore employed by the Union Steam Ship Company, and who met with a very serious accident on tho Queen's Wharf at about 11 o'clock last Friday morning, died in the 'Wellington Hospital yesterday. Wrixon was a single man between -10 and 50 years of age. Ho resided at 89 Ghuznco Street. An inquest will be held to-day. FALL FROM A SCAPFOLD. Matthew Ritchles was admitted to the Hospital yesterday suffering from injuries to his spine, sustained bv a fall from a scaffolding 12t. high. lio is a married man, resides at Kilbirnie, and is 42 years of age. He was employed at tho' new Adelphi Theatre. RIGHT HAND INJURED. A young woman, named Doris Oliver, 22 years of age, residing at Kelburne Parade, was admitted to the hospital yesterday. Hor right hand was severely'cut through contact with a pane of glass. FOUND DEAD ON ROAD. (By Telegraph-Press Association.) Gisborne, December 19. A fanner of tho district named Major Shincl was found dead on the road at AVaihcrehero to-day. A post-mortem will bo held to-morrow.
