The hearing has bec.i continued of tho charge against Francis Henry Page, William Henry Glcndining, and Frederick Marshall, at Bow Street Police Court, of .blackmailing the Countess Hamil Domain of .£SOO, the money being obtained under threat that certain letters by a Dun O'Connor (late of Sydney) and one Dob--bie would be published to her annoyance. The Countess, in cross-examination, declared that Dobhie wished her to marry him and settle five hundred a year on him.
