In his opinion there is no reason why the bricks should cost .'the Government J2l a 1000. Mr. Onkdcn also inspected thn proposed sites of the Government cement works, and is satisfied that the works will bo able to manufacture at half the present price. Mr. Griffith, Minister for Public Works, proposes to supply agricultural lime at cost price. Re has adopted the New Zealand method of carrying it free on the railways.
