PROVINCIAL CENTRES.
(From Our Special CorrasnondenU.l fr_ FEATHERSTON. ■ On Friday afternoon, a horse attached td a vehicle, both owned by the Telegraph Department, bolted on the Eimutaka Road about three miles from Fcatherston, arid fell over the hillside.' The trap was smashed completely, and tho horse was so badly injured that it had to be shot. The Kahutara School, about twelve miles from Feathcrston, has at present an attendance of 53 children, in charge of one teacher. Application has been -made for an enlargement of the building, and also for another teacher.
