Master and Directors of the Manchester Unity Oddfellows have appoaled to the House of Lords to refuse to pass the National Insurance Bill during the present session, so as to give tho country time to consider it.

The Hearts of Oak organisation has petitioned Parliament with regard to the amendment giving benefits from the first day of sickness.

.The president of tho National Conference of Friendly Societies hopes that the House of Lords will ignore tho requests of tho Oddfellows and tho Hearts of Oak. .

It is understood that all but' six' clauses of tho Bill aro protected by the Houso of Commons' privileges in connection with Money Bills.
