._ , Lonoon, December 10. lne wool sales closed at the hiehest point in the scries. There was good competition from all quarters, especially formonnoo.
A total of £7,500 bales was sold fox the Homo marketi M.CCO lor tho Continent; 7<Xj lor tao United States; and 10,000 bales wero hold over.
There was a buoyant tone throughout the series, and competition and prices were stoadily sustained.
1 ho Germans were keen operators, chiejy for morinqs. Tho Americans operated particularly in croEsbreds. There was excellent representation in merinos. feooureds closed a full five per cent, above tna September ratos; best creasy combines at par; feultios at par to five per cent, below September rates: Eood lots of medium shabby crossbreds at ton per cent* above: and fine crossbreds, aUo c4ipes and sepureds, five per centn. above.
