LOCAL AND GENERAL.
The annual exhibition of students' work at tlio Wellington Technical School was opened yesterday, and in pniut of general excellence, and the variety of exhibits, the display as a whole "affords an interesting and convincing demonstration of the broad appeal which the various classes of the school offer to students of nrts and crafts. In tlio arts section of the exhibition are quite a large number of commendable- stndios from still life and objects, designs which denote distinct creative power, tasteful stencil work on curtains, table-cloths, cushion-covers, etc., and earefnl studies in anatomical drawing, jho work in the life class, aJso, is of a high standard, while Ln the crofts— carpentry, engineering, plumbing, etc.—is also of high merit.
