THAT.WINTON MEETING
(By Telesraph.—Press Association^ Invcrcargill, December 5. Owing to the confusion at tho conclusion of Sir Joseph Ward's Winton meeting last night the reporters we're, unable, to ascertain who moved the vote .of thanks and confidence. On inouiry today it was found that the motion was duly proposed and seconded, and that the Mayor declared it carried on a show of hands.
Messrs. Braud and Johnston, auctioneers, Lambtou Quay, will hold an attractive sale, of household furnishings at their rooms to-day, at 1 p.m. Thn local agents of the Xorddcutschcr Lloyd line, Messrs. The vessel has on board . the following passengers, who are due to arrive here on December 22:—Jlissns Wrny, Saumlors, Kendall, and L'eynoldi jrosdnmes Edwards, Reynold, and Kendall; Messrs. Kass, Berryiiiiiii, Gilkison, Kennet, Syse, and Javovoolcss.
In the event of an employer becoming bankrupt, the claims of domestic ■«•]•. vnnts como before those of ordinary creditors.
