There is much dissatisfaction at the failure of the Home Government to carry out tho promise to appoint an Imperial Trado Commission. It is felt that tho appointment of a Canadian Tariff Commission would hare been a great opportunity to further the investigation of Empire trade. At the Imperial Conference, Mr. Asquith, tho Prime Minister, promised to appoint a Commission to inquire into tho trade of tho Empire.
