STOCK MAKING A GREAT EECOVERY Tho present brightness of the country between Wellington and New Plymouth is reflected in the bearing of dairymen all along the line. The lons spell of dry weather which hold into the beginning of the spring cast a shadow over the dairy industry, but cattle' aro now making a splendid recovery, as a result of the recent rains. All through the Jlanawatii, and right np to Taranaki srass is now makinj? rapid growth, and the countryside, which a fe'v -rooks a?ro was brown and parched, is clothed in sreen. During the past few days many of the streams and rivers have been carrying a considerable volume of Hood water.
