Guise, 253 points (ammunition prize). , RANGITIKEI RIFLE ASSOCIATION. ANNUAL PRIZE MEETING.. The annual prize rifle meeting- of the Rangitikei Riflo Association, held under the auspices of the Rangitikei Rifle Club on the club's range, at Bulls, last Wednesday, was very successful. The range is a very good one, having five targets, with distances-up to , 1000 yards. II lies north and is flanked on the west by a big bluff running parallel with the firing; on the'east is the open river-bed of the Rangitikei. • The nrrangements were excellent, chiefly owing to the efforts of tho club captain, Mr. W. B. Clark, the secretary (Mr. LeTctt), and the range officer (Sergeant Fisher, of Feilding). A special feature of the meeting was the use of the figure targets up to COO yards. There were 71 entries and 65 were prosent—a. record turn-out. Tho Rnngitikoi championship honours fell to Rifleman H. Grists, of the Linton 'Rifle Club, Palni«rston,NorthV,Riflpmbn A. Caldwell. of the Karori Riflo Club, Wellington ' being runner-iip. A very tricky wind spoilt some promising scores. Tho marking was excellent, out of some dozen challenges not one teing sustained. The .vis]tins riflemen, without exception, expressed themrelTPs ns being thoroughly satisfied with nil the arrangements.
