MYSTERIOUS DISAPPEARANCE.
FROM THE SOUTHERN EXPRESS. (By Teiccraoh-—Press Association.) Invercargill, November G. There has been a mysterious disappearance from the second express, which brought the Prime Minister to lnvercargill to-night. Mr. and Mrs. Gibson and their twenty-year-old daughter, Lizzie, were passengers from Duucdin. Lizzio was known to bo on the train as far as Clinton, but has not been seen since, though her absence was not reported till this sido of Gore. The mother told a reporter who was on the train that the girl had said: "Mother, father's had a drop of drink. I feel like jumping off tho train." It was suggested that tho girl might have loft the train at Gore, though her parents state she knew nobody there. A passenger says he knew the'girl, and in his opinion she was not on the train when it reached Gore. Inquiries aro being made and the line is being searched.
