4 SURVIVORS ATTACKED BY CHINESE. By Telegraph—Press Association-Oopyrtglij Brisbane, November 6. News has been received from Swatow, on tho east'coast of China, of tho loss of tho steamer Isle,'which was bound from Japan to Hong-Kong. The steamer encountered a typhoon and was sunk. The captain's children, also the Chinese crew, were drowned. • Their bodies were washed ashore, and the natives stripped them of their clothing, and also tried to tear tho jewellery from those who were alive when they reached the beach. A STEAMER ASHORE. Sydney, November 0. The steamer Port Stephens is ashore at Norah Head. The vessel is high and dry, and it is unlikely that slio can be refloated. All the crew were saved.
