NAVALS' RE-UNION.
A BOATING SOCIETY FORMED. A reunion of past and present members of the Wellington Naval Artillery ; Volunteers (No. 3 Territorial Garrison . Artillery) was held at the boat station last evening. Colonel G. F. C. Campbell presiding. Under the Defenco Act, now in vogue, the name by which the company has been known since its inception will disappear, and with it the naval uniform. Occasion was taken last night to bid good-bye to the old stylo and welcome tho new. In order, however, to keep tho old name by which the company was known connected with the new, it was decided to form a soeietv which will be known as the "Wellington Navals' Boating Society" Its headquarters will bo tho naval boat-sheds. During the evening speeches wcro de-' Wed by Major Menzics, Colonel Campbell, Captains Biss, Richardson, Marton. JJoII, and Bevan, and Lieutenants Dennisl'on and Sloman.. Songs and recitations were given by Messrs. Stratford, Houchen, Tolley Johnson, Davenport, Chandler, and others
