METHODIST EXTENSION.
A mooting of the Methodist Council for Church Extension was held last evenins m tho Tarnnnki Street Church. Tho nTr J ' ®' C lla P' u an presided. Iho following officers were elected for tho ensuing year:—President, Rev. J. G. Chapman; vice-president, Rev. ,T. Ward; secretary, Mr. F. Chinch-en; treasurer, Mr. C. 11. Jones; executive, Messrs. W. Redstone, L. J. Clark,, ,T. Kershaw, J. filler, F. J. Martin, F. Fear, J. Lomas, J. R. Kandereon, J. W. Carr, W. E. Howe, J. Walton, W. Moxham, and ministers of Wellington. The chairman referred in hopeful strain to tho work of the- past vcar, which showed signs of increasing vigour. He announced the prospective building of a now brick church at Karori. A grant of .£•100 to aid this work was confirmed, the plans of tho church being previously approved. Tho retiring secretary (Mr. J. E. Kanderson) was accorded a vote of thanks.
