The Commonwealth bnttlcship-cniiser Australia was successfully launched at tho Clydebank works to-day, in the presence- of Sir George Rcid (High Commissioner for Australia), Lady Reid, Captain Jluirhead Collins (Sir George's private secretary), Captain Fitzhorbert (representing the Admiralty), Professor Biles (consulting naval architect (o tho Commonwealth), and others, including representative Australians. Lady licid performed tho launching ceremony. She said: "May tljo old flag and tho new flag ever fly together in peace and war."
