THORNDON CLUB'S ANNUAL.
Tho annual meeting of tho Thorndon Cricket Club was held at tho Y.M.C.A. last evening, Mr. H. J. Buck occupying the chair. Tho report and balance-sheet , wero read and adopted. The balance-sheet stated that the financial position of tho club was improving. Tho report mentioned that, during the season, tho club had entered a team in tho Junior Association's competition, and that team had secured third place on tho list. Jhe highest averages for batting and bowling were both obtained by Mr. A. Cornfoot. Tho following officers were elected:— President, Mr. A. E. I'oarco; vice-presi-dents 3!" V. A. M. Johnson, Rev. J. G. S. Bartiett, Dr. Izard, Dr. Cahill, Messrs. T. 51. Wilford, A. L. Herdman, C. Haynes, J. T. King, T. F. Martin, W. II Turnbull, J. B. Speed, H. Bivk, P. G. Boiton, C. Eobinson, and C. Stewart; lion, secretary, Mr. It. Kobinson; hon. treasurer, Mr. G. Martin; management committee. Air. K. Wilson, with the hon. secretary and treasurer, ex officio; delegates to- the Junior Association, Mr. J. W. Black; auditor, Mr. A. G. Barnett; captain, Mr. W. Eobcrts; vice-captain, Mr. G. Martin; selection committee, Messrs. W. Roberts, G. Martin, and Mr.. 1 , , il'akin.
