Tho marriage took place recently at Christ Church, Waterloo, Liverpool, of Mr. Leonard Parkinson, Sergeant-Major of the New Zealand Coronation ConVingo"', and son of tho late Mr. Thomas L son Parkinson, Canterbury, and Miss i'onrl Grawy, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Gracey, of Dunfanaghy, County Donegal, Ireland, and nicce of Sir William Whittam M.D., of Belfast. The ceremony ivas performed by the Rot. John P. Cushing, undo of the bride, assisted by tho Rev. Canon T. K. Dickson, M.A., vicar of Christ Church, and t'ho Rev. Herman F. S. Collior, M.A.
: Mi.w ,Hoadley arrived in Wellington from tho south on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. David Hills left for tho south on Saturday and leave the Bluff for Sydney at tho end of the month. Dr. and Mrs. Webster are expected lo return from their visit to Sydney on Wednesday. Mrs. Edgar Holnnvood, who has been over on a visit.to Australia, returns to Wellington on Wednesday. Mrs. and Miss Nell Drnmmond left Wellington yesterday for Hastings, whore they are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. P. Drummond. Mr. and Mrs. Braithwaito (London), who have been spending the last three or four weeks in Wellington, left for Christchnrch last evening by tho Maori. They return in about three weeks' time. The engagement is announced of Miss Elsio M'Farlane, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M'Fariane (Clive Grange Station), to Dr. Kaymond, recently of England, Mr. J. H. Quilliam (New Plymouth) after spending somo days in Wellington has gono on to Noleon for a brief visit. Mr. and Mrs. Lan Simson (Napier) have been paying a brief visit to Wellington. Mr. and- Mrs. E. Turnbull, who havp been visiting Dunodin; havo returned to Keroru., • . •.' Mrs. -Balfour (Napier) is visiting Mrs. H Beetham, Wsirarapa.
