, „ , _~ , „ NET SURPLUS OF JC2121 FOR lULFFollowing is a return of revenue dorived and expenditure incurred in connection with the Wellington City Tramways for the six months ended September 30, 1911:—Xuc gross rcrcnuo amounted, to .£73,608, as compared with last year, an increase of JUGOB. Tho working expenses amounted to JC50,512, or JC2172 abovo last year, leaving n gross surplus of J223,2'JG. From this balance capital charts amounting to £21,175 have to bo met , , leaving a not surplus for tlio half year of .€2121, as against JM72 last year. Tlio expenditure on conversion of Irox ears and other special works not capitalised (including sinking fund on the lioreo trainway loan) amounts to .£1787. This is met out of the net surplus, and leaves n credit balanco of ,£33 i on revenue account to taarry forward.
