Passengers to arrive from tho south this morning by the Mararoa include the following M.P.'s:—Jltssre. A. L. Herdman, L. M. Isitt, J. Craigie, and G. W. Eusicll. Mr. C. J. B. Norwood, of tho Wellington Gas Company, has been elected a member of tho Wellington Industrial Association. Mr. C. A. Marquis, New Zealand manager of tho T. and G. Life Society, lett by tho Main Trunk express yesterday t>n a visit of inspection to Auckland. Mr. Goo. Moo has boon appointed a director of tho Metropolitan Vennanent Building and Investment Society to fill tho vacancy caused by tho death of Mr. r. Hales. Members of the Ancient Order of Foresters and Ancient Order of Shepherds assembled at tho Karori cemetery on Sunday afternoon, and marched to the grave pf the late ISro. J. T. Webber, where a number of friends and relatives were waiting. Bro. G. Key, P.D.C.R., gave an address on the life and work of the departed brother, and after a portion of the Foresters' funeral service had been read by Bro. Jackson, P.D.C.R., unveiled a grauilo memorial stone, erected by tho A.O.F. and A.O.S. as a mnrk of respect to tho memory of tho deceased. Tho brethren then filed past on eaoh side and shook hands thrice across tho grave in front of fho stone. Representative members present were Bro. Smith, D.C.R., delegates from Masterton, Petone, Hutt, city, and suburban courts of Foresters and Shepherds. The president, the secretary, and tho treasurer of the U.F.S. Dispensary, of which the deceased was president at tho lime of his death, were, also in attendance.
