NEW THEATRE FOR AUCKLAND. (By Telegraph.—SDeclal Correspondent.) Auckland, October 15. Still another, new picture theatre is being built in the city, making the eleventh place of entertainment of the kind ill Auckland. Tho new theatre is to take the placo of the old Newton Foresters'llall, 3 list alongside the Naval inid I'aiuily Jlotel, which stands at the junction of Pitt Street aud Karangahape Road. The work of altering the old hall into a house of amusement is proceeding apace, tho electricians, carpenters, and painters having already effected a remarkable change in tho'interior of tho building. A well-known local firm is behind tho venture, and the theatre is to bo used for the purpose of a continuous all-day picture show. Tho work is being expedited in order to have tho cDening fixed for Holiday week (Labour Day). There will I>3 seating accommodation for 800 people. It is to be called tho Palace Theatre.
