MASTERTON NOTES.

(From Our Special Correspondent.) Masterton, Ootober 8. A Native named Koro Nebo Hokikino died on Saturday at the advanced ajre of 112 at the residence of Tiiliara To Tau, near Masterton. Deceased belonged to the tribe known ns Ngatilcaumoa'na, and was the fust, convert made by Bishop Mavsden in New 7iealand. At a meeting of the stewards of tho Mtusterton Baaing Club, Mr. J. H. Pollock, of Wellington was reappointed handinupper, and iMr. W. H. Hartgill, of Dannevirke, judge. A committee was set up to frame a programme for tho summer meeting.
