Crawford; secretary and treasurer, Mr. I'. C. Everlon; captain, Mr. T. Benton; vice-captain, Mr. 11. Williams; haiulicapper, Mr. 11. Williams; committee, .Messrs. 0. Nix, W. Wakcly, J. Parker, L. Benton, and A. C'undy. The licensing 1 question is being kept conspicuously' before this electorate by thu No-License party. Periodical addresses are bciug made by speakers of the Temperance League, and it is understood that this course will be continued till tho dato of the poll. Tho liev. George Tregear, from Australia, will speak here this evening. The Featherston Debating Society brought its session to a close on Friday evening, when a "Mock Parliament" was held. A Government, led by tho "Eon." W. G. Miller, introduced a Daylight Saving Bill, and on a division were defeated. The "Hon." W. B. Tait then formed a '.Ministry, and brought down a Bill to Tax Bachelors, which also caused tho defeat of his party and tho "House" adjourned. FEILDING. On Saturday afternoon there was a record attendance of players and visitors at the opening of the Feilding Bowling Club's season. The green was in splendid order, and the weather was ideal for the pastime. The president (Mr. H. D. Guthrie, M.P.) opened the season with an appropriate speech, after which seven rinks were fully occupied all tho afternoon, "5G players participating. Tho Waverley, Wauganui, St. John's, Palmerston, and Terrace End Clubs worn represented, and the green won everyone's admiration. The contest was President v. Vice-President (Mr. John Cobbe), and, in tho aggregate, the president's rinks won easily. The cricket seasou itas also successfully opened on Saturday.
