SWIMMING.
THE SWIFTS CLUB. The annual meeting of the Swift? Swimming Club was held at , _ the Y.M.C.A. rooms on Thursday evening. Mr. C. J. Fk-miug occupied tho chair. The annual report nnd balance-sheet were road and adopted. Tho balaucoeheet showed a credit of £3 7s. 2d, The chairman referred to tho satisfactory position of the club, and remarked that Chore was every prospect of the coming season being a successful one. Twentr new members were elected. Tho election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mr. C. P. Skerrott; vicopresidents, Messrs. Chapman, A. Tripe, W. Aitkon, J. P. Moxwcll. C. Smith, W. Smith. W. Skegg, and A. S, George; club captain. Mr. 1". Wilton; vioc-cnpl-nin, Mr, IT. Jenkinson; treasurer, Mr. J. S. Martin; secretary, Mr. If. K. Johnston; committee, Messrs. Woodcox. P. Wilton. A. (Smith, G. M'Grath, and L. Sleightholm; hendicapnors, Messrs. F. Wilton and L. Sloichtholm; starter and timpkeeper, Mr. C. J. Floming; auditor. Mr. F. .1. Courtney; delfuate,s to the Wellington Centre, Messrs. V. Wilton and H. K. .Tohnston; check stiirtor, etc., Mr. W. Power.
