YACHTING.

POET NICHOLSON CLUB. The adjourned annual meeting of tho Port .Nicholson Yacht Club was held recently, the attendance numbering between thirty and forty members. The programme of events for tho season, as drawn up bv the General Committee, was submitted to tho meeling and adopted. Tho matter of sailing courses was considered, and No. 1 end No. !i courses (followed last year) were changed. Tho amended No. 1 course- will bo from on imaginary lino continued eastward towards tho Boat Harbour off Clyde Quay Wharf, to and around buoy off l'oint Halswull, thenco to and around buoy off Korokoro, thon back to tho buoy off Point Halswell, from thenou bnck to starting point. No. 2 courso will bo from tho starting lino to aud around tho Dolphin in Evans Bay, thenco to the buoy on Falcon Shoal and back to the etarting line.- All races are to be started by the uso of flags. A silver cup, presented by Mr. 0. Froyberg, was on view at the meeting, and was to have been presented to tho winner of tho Oceaii Waco to Point Underwood, but owing lo the unavoidable absence of the owners of the yacht, the ceremony was postponed.
