;' A SUBSTANTIAL SURPLUS. By Telegraph—Press Aesocialion-Oopyrifiht Adelaide, September 21. In the Legislative Assembly, the Treasurer, Mr. Vaughau, delivered his' Budget speech. The revenue for the past year totalled .£1,181,772, giving a surplus of X 273,000 in excoss of what was expected. The estimated revenue for tho current year was ,£f,311,542, and a surplus of .£'8822 is expected.
