CELEBRATIONS IN WELLINGTON.

Arrangements for tho public celebration in Wellington of Dominion Day, Monday next. September 25, aro now in progress. Mr. G. L. Stewart, secretary of the Wellington Education 13oaTd, has issued acircular to chairmen of school committees and head teachers relative to tho observance: "I have to inform you of tho request made by tho Government that there be held throughout Now Zealand a uniform celebration of tho fourth anniversary of Dominion Day 011 Monday, September 25. The chairman of tho board requests that on that day the pupils shall meet as usual, and that at 11 o'clock they bo assembled to salute tho flag and to roceivo an appropriate address. Thereafter the scholars may be dismissed for the day, but cadets will participate in any local celebration at which their presence may bo desirable. It has been arranged that the Junior Cadets of Wellington and suburbs shall attend a review to be held in tho presence of his Excellency the Governor at Newtown Park. Cadets will assemble in' the park at 2.15 p.m., review at 3.15 p.m."
