Te Kuiti, September 16,

Mr. Jaincs Boddie, Mayor of To Kuiti, has withdrawn his candidature in the Opposition interest for the 'l'aumaianui electorate, owing to pressure of private work. Mr. C. K. Wilson, of Paemako, has consented to stand, and lias been aocepted as tlio Opposition candidate.

Timaru, September 16. Mr. W. Jefferies, who was defeated on the second ballot for the Geraldine seat at last election will stand again for that seat as an Opposition candidate.

Auckland, September 17. Mr. .T. C. Dromgool, master of Pukekolie High School, is resigning to contest tho Raglan scat as a Government supporter.
