CARTERTON NOTES.
The annnal ■ meeting of tho TarafnhiCarterton Kacing Club was held on Thursday afternoon, Mr. G. W. Deller presiding. The annual report and balance-sheet was read and adopted. It was resolved to contribute an JUS levy to tho Sport 3 Protection League. OBiccrs were elected as follow:—Patron, Mr. \V, C. Buchanan, M.P.; president, Mr. 11. B. Bunny; vicepresidents, Messrs. H. Judd, H. IT. Walters; treasurer, Mr. G. W. Deller; stewards, .Messrs. A. Daysh, W. Howard Booth,' L. Nix, J. G. Oatcs, T. Kay, and C.'Jteid; auditors, Messrs. E,. J. Chapman and J. Moncrieli. .
I'lie annual meeting of the Carterton Gun Club was held on Thursday afternoon, Mr. J. G. Oates being in the chair. The financial statement disclosed a healthy position of ntfairs. It was resolved to challenge the Masterton Club to a teams match for two barrels of pigeons, and to hold a livo bird match some time in January. Officers were elected as follow: —Patron, Mr. J. Oates; president, Mr. W. C. Buchanan, M.P.; ■ vice-presidonts, Messrs. W. Howard Booth, J. llcid, J. G. Oatcs, 11. Hodge, fl. Catt, and W. Redmond; Management Committee, Messrs. 11. Catt, J.
