MASTERTON NOTES.
(Fiom Our Special Cor.-eapondont.) At the opening of the sitting of I'nc Supremo Court in Mastcrton yesterday morning, the sheriff (Mr. M. l'ole.v) presented his Honour with a pair of white gloves in recognition of the fact that there was a clean >heet in the criminal calendar. His Honour, in discharging the Grand Jury, congratulated the district upon the imiiiuiiitv frmn criino. The action for alleged libel, Kellihcr v. Driclges. in which considerable local interest is manifested, is set down for hearing at tho Supremo Court to-morrow.
