MORE LOOTING AT ROUBAIX. RIGID PRICE LISTS DRAWN UP IN PARIS. RENT PAYERS ON STRIKE. By Telegraph—Press Association—CooyTielit (Rec. September 11, 9.55 p.m.) Paris, September 11. Tho president of tho Municipal Council has conferred with tho Caterers' Union and arranged a table of market prices to be drawn up daily and rigidly enforced. Tho Rent Payers' Association, which has five thousand members, announces a strike against the threatened rise in rents in Paris. Th* first step is a refusal to pay rent in advance. The situation at Roubaix continues to bo serious. Tho rioters l.avo looted tho provision shops, and havo erected barri- ] cades and stretched wiro across the J streets to trip up tho cavalry.' ! . Members of the crowd also climbed, lamp posts and extinguished the lights, whilo others removed tho plates covering the manholes and drains so as to prevent tho soldiers from charging. Many arrests havo been made. Numbers of soldiers were injured by tho stone-throwing. FIGHTING IN BREST. Paris, September 10. Fifteen soldiery and police, and many rioters, have been injured during rioting at Brest, tho seaport and naval station in Brittany. Housewives oontinue to attnek retailers and market gardeners in many centres. RISE IN PRICES EN RUSSIA. (Rec. September 11, 9.55 p.m.) St. Petersburg, September 11. Tho rise in the prices of tho necessaries of life in some cases has amounted to fifty per cent, since the general strike of 1905.
