A PRISONER ESCAPES.
HOW HE ELUDED TOE WAKDER. (By Telcgrapli.—Pross Association.! Invcrcargill, September 11. About 11.15 this morning Albert Sims, aged 2G, one of a prison Ran,? working near tiic jetty, asked the warder to allow him to visit a shed in the vicinity, ami was allowed to do so. Owing to tho man's extended absence, the officer visited tho shed and found that the prisoner had pono, having changed into old clothes that had been hanging in' the shed. A bicycle, which had been standing ncn.r b.v tlie" building, was missing, mid it is supposed that thu prisoner made off on it. Sims, who had been an industrial school boy, was serving seven years. He was seen later cycling towards Woodlands.
