At tho trial of Smith, charged with the murder of Wake and Butler, his mates in a timber camp, at lvcllorberrin, tho Judge directed a verdict of not guilty, and committed the prisoner to a lunatic asylum. The evidence showed that Smith was liable to epileptic storms.
