THAT MIDNIGHT LANDING.
Sir,—Could you please tell 1110 if there has been any siesmie disturbance lately. There wns a distinct shock felt about Friday midnight. The shock was so pronounced that even the prohibition literature, of which I have a plentiful supply, was visibly affected. Surely it could not have been our local Baronet unshipping his heraldic paraphernalia, and our democratic land groaning in remonstrance? Or was it the speeches reeled off by the political gramaplioncs assembled that made the country's sides shako? As there, is'a paucity of real works of art in our local gallery, could not an artist be commissioned to immortalise that historic midnight assembly? Posterity should be given a chance to witness in duplicate that loyal, democratic, and fitting welcome to our wandering democratic Baronet Premier.—l am, etc.. MOItEPOKE. August 27, 1911.
